The clear, uncrowded waters of Bull Shoals  Lake are ideal for a variety of water sports including water skiing, scuba diving, snorkeling, and fishing.

The rich, timbered Ozark Mountains offer unparalleled opportunities for hikers, wildlife enthusiasts, and photographers. Filled with flowering trees and wild plants, the land is home to an abundance of birds and animals.

Mid-April is the peak time to view the beauty of the native flowering dogwood. They hide in the forests most of the year under the shade of the much larger hardwoods. But at this time, before the mighty oaks dominate once again, the dogwoods, in full flower, celebrate their own unique, delicate beauty.

Black Oak guests may choose to take advantage of other nearby recreational opportunities such as floating the White River, canoeing the Buffalo River, or golfing on the nearby riverside golf course. We'll be happy to make the arrangements for you.

Within 25 miles of the resort, you'll find: over 50 restaurants; eleven movie theaters; dozens of antique, craft, and retail stores; tennis courts; churches; a regional hospital and pharmacies; Ozark Regional Airport with 5,000' runway, gas, tie-down and hangering; auto rentals; bingo; Mountain Village 1890 and Bull Shoals Caverns; three bowling alleys; mini-golf; go carts; and a roller rink.

Three golf courses each offer a different type of game:
